Generic vs. name brand???

Q. Is the HUGE premium[1] for name brand dental products worth it. Should I spend the extra?
 A. Yes and no. I think own-brand (not just Tesco!) toothpaste is good enough, but own-brand floss is all the rubbish. In fact, with floss, the ONLY one I can recommend is Oral B Satin.
