Hello and welcome to my blog. I'm a practicing dentist working in Leeds, UK. Here you can read (and comment on!) the advice I give my patients. How fantastic is that?

Fruit versus chocolate.
A tip I just picked up from one of my patients: If you are trying to cut down on the amount of chocolate you eat eating fruit, perhaps in largish quantities, might help.
I don't have any scientific backup here, but try it out, leave a comment.
According to my wife it works, she finds it best to mix it up so you do not get bored but of course if you have an absolute favourite then plenty of that. But to be honest and I am not trying to be "hollier than though" as never been a great chocolate lover, you also, of course, need will power (sorry Will). My wife loves all types of chocolate so some extra fruit definately helps. Robert. ps teeth still look great, trying to floss every day. Many thanks
My wife, bit of a chocoholic, recons it works but she mixes it up so as not to get bored. To be honest, and not wanting to sound hollier than though- not a great lover of chocolate myself, you still need "will power" (sorry Will!). Teeth still looking good and flossing every day! Many thanks. Robert Rand
