Rubbing Sensodyne on a sensitive tooth stops it being sensitive immediately...

Wonderful. Except the same happens with ANY toothpaste, even the ones not formulated for sensitive teeth. In fact a whole range of household products do the same.

In other words the effect isn't related to the desensitising ingredients, the whole thing is misleading.
